Camp Thank You Letter

We wrote thank you letters to the people that helped us on camp and transported us there. Here is my thank you letter to JP( John-Paul).

20 November 2018
Dear
JP (John-Paul)

Thank you for coming to camp because I really enjoyed you playing soccer with us and providing transport to camp. I really enjoyed all the activities and my most favourite was definitely finding Brian. Thank you for all the food and drinks. Thank you for all of the support at camp and I hope you come next year.

My memories from camp
The Hike was pretty tiring and hurtful but it was amazingly the best walk I have ever done.
The view was beautiful and colourful.
It sucks we did not make it all the way to the hut but I know we could’ve made it
but it was getting late by the time we got back.
Well the hike was pretty amazing and I wish I could do the whole thing next time.

On the last day we did the Search and Rescue to find Brian the basketball head in a fake body.
The Search and Rescue was probably the funnest thing I did.
I don’t know about you but It was pretty easy to find Brian.
When we found him he was pretty heavy to carry back to camp.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed the Search and Rescue because I really enjoyed it.

On the first day we did the Squawk Squad activity where we had to find the birds.
Finding the birds was pretty easy but we had morse code to solve.
The places we had to go to were a bit hard because they were in places where we could hardly get to.
I really enjoyed the Squawk Squad and hope we can do it again.

I want camp to keep going on because my experience was probably the best three days of my life and
I hope my brothers and other people when they go on camp that they can feel the same way.
I would like camp to keep going so the teachers and parents can just get away for three days and
relax and have time with the kids.

Once again thank you for coming to camp and helping out.

Ngā mihi
Yours sincerely
Tyler

This term we have been  making our own 3d shapes out of multilink blocks and then drawing them on isometric drawing paper.
Here are some photos of the four views top, front, left and right. These are how mine turned out.

Descriptive Writing

At the moment in class we have been doing descriptive writing. We have been using pictures to give us ideas of what to write about. Here is a piece of writing I did.

Back In Time Hot Tub
One cold rainy day the rain was pouring down like Coal Creek Falls into the guttering, since I have a spa I decide to have a nice long warm relaxing hot tub. After about 20 mins my spa started to rapidly bubble and then it stopped wait but where am I. This is amazing I have somehow traveled back in time to the dinosaur age. This place Is so beautiful and peaceful. The trees are swaying like professional dancers.

All of the dinosaurs were so big and scaly, but there was one thing that was not peaceful it was ferocious and vicious. It was the T-rex, I could only hear RAW RRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!. I had to run there was nothing else to do or get eaten by the ferocious T-rex. He was roaring at me like a steam train chasing me down. I got away in the puka
(woods). I caught my breath and waited for a few long slow minutes. But then THUUUUUUUUUUUUMP!!!!!!!!!! Right beside me I saw the T-rex, I was so frightened I actually peed myself. I was now smelling like disgusting urine the dinosaur finally wanted to eat me but suddenly I woke up. TO BE CONTINUED...
